Walking in the Footsteps of a Prince is a powerful, week‑long historical, cultural, and educational experience tracing the remarkable life of Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahim Ibn Sori, a West African nobleman whose story spans royalty, captivity, resilience, and eventual freedom. From May 8–15, participants explore the historical landscapes, narratives, and legacies connected to his 40‑year struggle for liberation in the United States.
This immersive program expands beyond traditional historical interpretation to include a vibrant series of cultural and community‑centered events that honor both his heritage and his enduring impact.
